Our Multi-Purpose Dredger is Designed as an Amphibious and built-in Istanbul. The Crocodile is suitable for a wide range of works in all types of bodies of water.
The Crocodile Multi-Purpose Dredger is versatile on the water, making it suitable for heavy work and fast emergency response. Its powerful engine, propulsion system and pumps, superior mobility, and sophisticated positioning equipment place it in a class by itself. Another critical environmental feature of the Multi-Purpose Dredger is its ability to operate with low noise levels. It is equipped with a supercritical silencer that reduces noise to shallow levels.
Functions
Cleaning and restoring contaminated rivers and canals and other waterways / Reconstruction of shorelines / Creating wildlife habitats / Controlling vegetation / Installing water pipes, pipelines, and submarine cables / Flood Control, Installing water pipes, pipelines, and submarine cables with the Multi-Purpose Dredger’s technology is possible to drive piles from the water. That protects the shores and enables pile driving considerably from the coast. The Crocodile Multi-Purpose Dredger moves independently in water with its propulsion system and excavator assembly. Crocodile Multi-Purpose Dredger anchors with its spuds and does not need steel cables for dredging, which may disturb passing water traffic.
The Amphibious machine arrives as a complete unit on a truck or cruises there on the water. After coming to the site on a trailer, there is no need for costly crane assistance because Amphibious “walks” in and out of the water without any outside help. There is no drafting limit for the trailer operations because she is Amphibious.
Using the rake, the Crocodile Multi-Purpose Dredger can remove floating or rooted vegetation, harmful stones, and trash from the bottom.
Multi-Purpose Dredger can pump the soil through a pipeline to a discharge area 1 km away. In this process, the soil is mixed with large amounts of water, 80-90 % of the total volume.
The Crocodile Multi-Purpose Dredger’s independent dredging movements and anchoring are based on hydraulic stabilizers. 2 rear stabilizers are equipped with hydraulically tilting cylinder spuds. Depth control through hydraulic two-front stabilizers with detachable floats and removable spuds.
International Maritime Organization announced a strategy to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to zero by the end of this century; marine environmental regulations have been tightened worldwide. The implementation of emission control areas has begun to affect vessel operations. Mavi Deniz has successfully started new emission control regulations by developing dual-fuel solutions and cleaner green power technologies. Propulsion system
The Crocodile Multi-Purpose Dredger’s propulsion system provides maximum power with minimal Crocodile. The Crocodile can sail 4 to 8 knots. The propeller can make foldable rises in shallow waters to protect aquatic vegetation and avoid disturbing riverbed sediment—environmental dredging in the tropical and arctic climate.
Cab
The Crocodile, Multi-Purpose Dredger’s cab meets the highest comfort and ergonomic standards with excellent visibility. The pilot controls all hydraulic functions from the cabin. Amphibious Dredger is equipped with fully adjustable deluxe seats, easy-to-reach controls, side windows that can open, and a range of standard and optional accessories like a sunroof hatch, radio system, and gauging for hydraulics/engine.
Engine
The Crocodile Multi-Purpose Dredger is Equipped with a light, compact, low-pollution Cummins / Caterpillar / Volvo / Perkins vs. engine. The Amphibious Dredger excavator has the power to spare ( 260 to 700 hp – standard model: 260 hp).
Hull
Crocodile 1000 has a One-piece body divided into seven watertight compartments for protection. Crocodile 1400 has a One-piece body divided into nine watertight compartments for security. Crocodile 1500 has a One-piece body divided into 13 watertight compartments for protection. Corrosion-resistant painting system for a minimum three years guarantee. Protective skid bars on the bottom. Slip-Safe deck. Handrails.

Bucket System
Several tools are available for backhoe dredging; a 400 lt bucket with teeth for everyday work, an 800 lt bucket for more significant sites, and a clamshell bucket for environmental dredging. Amphibious Dredger’s bucket can deposit the dredged material on barges or, in narrow channels, directly on the shore. Stone and trash removal can be done with the backhoe and clamshell buckets. Larger stones can be moved to the coast, deeper into the water, or buried, or they can, for example, be used to make a breakwater.
