Ship Waste Offloading + Spill Response Barge is non-self-propelled oil storage and carrying barge built for transporting and disposing of deposited sludge or oil spill operations. The Barge is outfitted with the dedicated skimming systems, sludge pump, ocean boom, deployment equipment, and communications facilities necessary to function as a fully certified offshore response vessel. Oil Spill Response Barge provides a stable, spacious work platform for offshore operations. Sludge is pumped from tanks of ships to the Barge. The Barge can be towed on an ocean voyage for delivery to an overseas base.
Ship Waste Offloading + Spill Response Barge designed for
- Supporting wash water removal slops
- Ship waste offloading operations
- Vessel-to-vessel tank cleaning and emergency lightering operations
- Recovering oil spill from the sea with a flashpoint below 60°C
- Large or small spill response as a central collection point for recovered oils from skimmers and smaller recovery vessels with the capability to decant clean water directly back into the environment under governmental approval/oversight.
The Oil Spill Response Barge is a non-propelled cargo Barge for the offshore industry, suitable for storing and transporting sewage waters (received from other vessels or fixed plants) and equipped for recovering oil spills from the sea. Suppose the Oil recovery operations are not required. In that case, the spill oil recovery equipment can be removed from the Main deck area and stowed in the Warehouse area: which gives the use of the Barge as a “Flat top barge” for cargo on the Main deck. The Oil Spill Response Barge’s shape shall guarantee good behavior while pushed in iced sea conditions, good course stability, and seakeeping behavior during towing in open water.
