05th February 2016, Mavi Deniz was contracted and launched to provide a 30 m MARPOL waste collection vessel for the Ministry of Transport General Company for Ports of Iraq with a 100 m3 capacity of oil recovery equipment per customers’ requirements. The vessel can collect MARPOL Oily waste ( Sludge, Slop, Bilge, Sewage Water ) and Garbage solid waste in its separate tank. The vessel has 2 pcs 1.472 kW Yanmar Engine and its oil spill equipment of 500 m Harbor Oil Boom, 2 x Hydraulic Boom Reel, 2 x Side Collector Skimmer, 2 x Multi Skimmer 30, 1 x Oil Spill Kits, 1 x 6 m Rescue Boat on the board. Vessels are fitted with 1 x firefighting water canon systems for emergencies in the port. A hydraulic Jib Crane @ 1-ton capacity is held on the deck. 1 x Biological Treatment System is supplied to the port authority with the vessel.
